A radial body composed as much from absence as from material. Edges define the air around it.
Each object begins as a drawing and is resolved as one continuous surface. It is formed layer by layer after selection.
Object 09 is a Light Sculpture by Blatforma and functions as a sculptural lampshade for a suspended pendant light.
Formed in metal-silk PLA as one continuous surface through FDM 3D printing. The metallic effect changes how the surface receives and reflects light while the fine formation layers remain visible. The object is supplied as a sculptural lampshade only. Any connecting component passing through the mounting opening must not exceed 10 mm in diameter. Bulb, lamp holder, cable, canopy, hook and mounting hardware are not included. Electrical components must be installed by a qualified professional.

- Included: sculptural lampshade only. Bulb, lamp holder, cable, canopy, hook and mounting hardware are not included.
- Mounting opening: 10 mm. Use only with connecting components that fit safely through the opening and are rated for the complete suspended weight.
- Electrical components must be selected, installed and checked by a qualified professional. Disconnect the electricity supply before any work on the pendant system.
- The bulb must not touch the printed surface. Bulb size, heat output and operating conditions must be suitable for the chosen pendant system and shade. Follow the instructions of the bulb and pendant-system manufacturers.
- For dry indoor use only unless the specific product is expressly marked otherwise.
- Stop use and disconnect the electricity supply immediately if deformation, unusual heating, odour or visible damage occurs.
- The object has pointed and delicate areas. It is not a toy and should be installed out of reach of small children.

How does it look up close?
The metallic surface changes with the light, revealing different edges, openings and depths as the object is observed.
How is it installed?
The object is a sculptural lampshade with a 10 mm mounting opening. It is compatible with a wide range of pendant systems. The bulb, lamp holder, cable, canopy, hook and mounting hardware are not included. Electrical components must be installed by a qualified professional.
How is it protected in transit?
Each object is suspended at eight points within a wooden frame. The frame is secured inside a rigid outer box, without foam touching the object.
Can I commission an individual form?
Yes. The studio accepts enquiries for objects developed in response to a particular idea or space.
How can I pay?
Cards, PayPal, Klarna, Apple Pay and Google Pay may be available at checkout depending on country, currency and device. Payments are processed securely through Shopify and the selected payment provider.
